Report by Carol Curran Motorcycle road racing moved to Tipperary for the 2007 5th annual running of the Faugheen 50 The weekend saw the introduction of the superbike championship for the second time to the circuit. As usual the crowds flocked to the circuit on practice and on race day to enjoy the breath taking performance of the competitors, who came from Australia, England ,Wales, Scotland, Germany and from all parts of Ireland, a testimony of how popular motorcycle road racing has become over recent years. The weather was not kind to the organisers with practice on Saturday in wet conditions but luckily Sunday dried out to give us some glorious sunshine.
